Vintage Brevard #8

Here's one of our lost Brevard gems - the stunning Glass Bank Building In Cocoa Beach. Certainly a marvel of Mid-Century Modern on the Space Coast, this landmark went up at the height of the Space Race in the early 60's (construction started in 1960, and it opened officially in 1962), originally as the First Federal Savings & Loan Association of Cocoa & Cocoa Beach. Unfortunately, years of neglect (to say the least) resulted in this landmark being torn down in 2015.
