Vintage Brevard pt1

Hello Brevard ! We're going to start posting some yesterday & today views of Melbourne, Cocoa, Rockledge, Eau Gallie, Palm Bay and Titusville, so sit back and enjoy !

# 1 is an old shot is from a series of postcards from the Leighton Postcard Company, showing some really early views of the Harbor City! This one in particular is looking west from the junction New Haven and Front Street in the heart of Downtown Melbourne. This shot is probably turn of the century and shows a few of the wood buildings along the original commercial corridor in town, Front Street, most of which burnt in February of 1919.
